Royal Bank opens new office for RBC Dominion Securities, private banking in Camana Bay

Royal Bank of Canada (RY on TSX and NYSE) (RBC) will open a new office in Grand Cayman’s Camana Bay community on Monday, January 13, 2020. The new location on Forum Lane will house the operations for RBC Dominion Securities along with a team from the bank’s Private Banking service.

“We are incredibly proud to be moving into the Camana Bay community,” said Andrew McCartney, Managing Director, RBC Dominion Securities. “As one of the region’s leading financial and commercial hubs, Camana Bay offers world class services and solutions for Cayman residents. RBC’s new office will add to those offerings while giving our clients a one-stop-shop for all their wealth management and private banking needs.”

RBC’s new office will add approximately 30 employees to the more than 2,500 who currently work in Camana Bay. This move will consolidate RBC Dominion Securities and private banking employees from across Cayman into one convenient location. In the coming weeks, RBC will also install an Automated Teller Machine in Camana Bay’s Town Centre to give all clients more access to banking services.

“RBC Royal Bank has a proud history in the Caribbean,” said Malynda Gibson-Nixon, Country Manager, Cayman Islands. “With over 55 years of service to this community, our new office is a sign of our continued investment in the Cayman Islands. We are confident in the strength of this market and we are excited for what the future holds here.”
