16 COVID19 Cases reported for Thursday: 4 Patients in Hospital

During the week 5 to 12 March, the Ministry of Health and Wellness reports that Cayman saw two more deaths that were Covid-related, bringing the death toll from the virus up to 23 people in the Cayman Islands. Both patients were unvaccinated and suffered from severe co-morbidities, they advised.

Another unvaccinated patient with severe comorbidities has died during Epidemiological Week, or Epi. Week 9 (27 February - 5 March) according to the COVID-19 situational report released tonight (Wednesday 9 March).

Public Health has reported that three residents of the Kirkconnell Community Care Centre (KCCC) tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, 28 February.
