Police Investigate Burglaries Targeting Electronic Stores

Shortly before 2:30AM, this morning, Monday 27 January, police responded to a report of a man armed with a machete at a licensed premises on Eastern Avenue in the vicinity of the Dolphin Centre.
The RCIPS Business Centre is currently experiencing delays in its ability to issue police clearance certificate requests due to an ongoing technical issue outside of RCIPS control.

The RCIPS Holiday Safety Operation, Winter Guardian, came to a close on the morning of Monday, 6 January, following a major operation on New Year’s Eve into New Year’s Day.
At approximately 10:24AM on Tuesday, 8 January, police and emergency services, including the Cayman Islands Fire Service, Emergency Medical Services and an explosives expert were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to investigate a report of a bomb threat at Grand Harbour Plaza.
Around 7.45PM, Tuesday 7 January, police and other emergency services responded to a report of a man found unresponsive at a residential address in Bodden Town.
Around 12:30PM, Friday 3 January, police received a report of an aggravated burglary that took place at a private residence in the vicinity of North Sound Estates, Bodden Town.
Just after 8:30AM on Tuesday, 31 December, police responded to a report of a burglary that took place at a commercial property on Main Street in George Town.
Over the past weekend, between Friday 27 December and Monday 30 December, there have been 26 reports of motor vehicle collisions on the roadways and of the Cayman Islands.
