Police Arrest Two Culprits Involved in Commercial Burglaries
Over the holiday weekend, between Friday 22 December and Tuesday 26 December, police received nine reports of commercial burglaries, all of which occurred at restaurants/bars.

Shortly after 7:30PM, on Tuesday 26 December, police and other emergency services responded to a report of a hit and run on West End Road East, Cayman Brac.
At around 3:40PM, Friday 29 December, officers on foot patrol responded to a report of an altercation at a commercial store on Cardinal Avenue, where a women was reported to have accosted staff when confronted about an attempt to steal goods from the store.
Shortly before 1:50AM on Saturday, 23 December, officers responded to a report of a shooting incident outside a bar on Printers Way in George Town.
Shortly before 2:10PM on Friday, 22 December, officers responded to a report of a water-related death.
Shortly after midnight, on Tuesday 26 December, police received a report of a robbery that took place in the parking lot of a commercial premises on Eastern Avenue, shortly before midnight, on Monday 25 December.
At about 1:30AM on Sunday, 24 December, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of a robbery which had taken place on Courts Road in George Town
At about 12:10AM on Wednesday morning, 20 December, officers from the Firearms Response Unit were dispatched to a report that shots had been fired in the vicinity of Grescott Lane in George Town.
The Cayman Islands Fire Service reported that a fire which started at the George Town landfill on Tuesday 19 December, on or about 8:00 p.m. was extinguished the same night.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Jemma Watson, who was reported missing on Sunday afternoon, 17 December.
