The RCIPS would like to confirm that the investigation into the unexplained death of the two-year-old child in Cayman Brac, that occurred on 26 July 2022, remains open and ongoing.
RCIPS are aware of an attempt to defraud previous victims of a number of Ponzi schemes (e.g.: Astute Capital, Dolphin Trust and ROFX) through a letter claiming to be from Commissioner of Police, Mr. Derek Byrne, and a company named FFF Global.
Police can now confirm that the driver of the vehicle involved in the fatal collision that took place along Shamrock Road on Sunday 30 April, was 22-year-old Channah Connor of Bodden Town
Officer with the RCIPS carried out a search warrant at a residence in Bodden Town on the morning of Saturday 29 April. During the search of the residence, which was occupied at the time by two men and a woman, a loaded handgun was recovered
At about 8:45PM on Saturday, 29 April, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a restaurant on Shamrock Road in the vicinity of Bimini Drive
Just after 1:30AM today, 30 April, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle collision that took place on Shamrock Road, in the vicinity of Coral Bay Village, George Town.
Three persons have been formally charged by the police in relation to recent burglary incidents.
A man, age 40, currently residing in Cayman Brac, was arrested and has been formally charged in relation to incidents which occurred in Cayman Brac on Friday, 3 March and Monday, 27 March
Police can now confirm that the motorcyclist involved in the collision that took place just after 6:20AM on 25 April, a 28-year-old-man of George Town, has succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by the attending doctor at the Cayman Islands Hospital
