Following a thorough investigation into a money laundering incident that took place in April 2024, at a local bank, three Chilean Nationals who were formally charged with Theft and Money Laundering, have since been convicted on five counts of Theft and five counts of Money Laundering.
A search of a property resulted in the recovery of a stolen motorbike that had previously been reported to the police, and was subsequently returned to the grateful owner.

Shortly before 2:30AM, on Monday morning 27 January, police responded to a report of a man armed with a machete at a licensed premises on Eastern Avenue in the vicinity of the Dolphin Centre.
Just after 4:30 AM on 29 January, police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of an alarm at a commercial premise located on North Church Street.
Last week police have received two reports of commercial burglaries whereby electronics stores have been targeted, resulting in offenders stealing a substantial quantity of electronic goods.
