4,000 persons in Isolation

Public Health has updated COVID-19 figures for 4-6 February 2022.

Positive cases reported to Public Health during this period are currently as follows:

04/02/2022 204

05/02/2022 156

06/02/2022 175

The Sister Islands also noted 7 new cases since the last report, bringing total cases to 452.

There are currently 5,336 active cases logged in the Public Health database. Recent guidelines have allowed persons with a CT level higher than 32 to release themselves based on vaccination status and time spent in isolation. When this is compared to the number of new positives over the past 15 days, approximately 4000, new positives serve as a more reliable figure for persons in isolation.

The reconciliation of Public Health data is linked to requests for release, negative results and other decisions – all of which cause significant lags. Going forward, the number of new positives will be used as the more reliable representation and reported daily, with the caveat that the number will be lower as many individuals clear the virus in under 15 days.
