The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service dealt with several Cuban migrant vessels arriving in the Cayman Islands over the festive season.
On 23 December at around 10am a vessel with 19 males and one female landed in Cayman Brac. Five males disembarked and the vessel continued on its journey. Hours later those remaining on board disembarked when it arrived in Grand Cayman.
On 30 December a vessel landed in East End and another in North Side at around 2pm with a total of 16 migrants. Both had six males and two females on board.
On Sunday, 1 January at around 4pm a vessel came ashore in North Side with ten males and two females who all came ashore. All are being processed in accordance with established border control protocols.
