The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 561 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Friday, 23 April 2021. Seven were positive.
The individuals are travellers who tested positive following routine screening. They will remain in isolation until considered recovered.
The total number of COVID-19 vaccines administered to date is 65,286.
So far, 35,307 (54% of the estimated population of 65,000) have received at least one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, with 46% having completed the two-dose course.
Over a billion (1,026,495,984) COVID-19 vaccines have now been administered worldwide according to data collected from 214 locations by the Financial Times coronavirus vaccine tracker (https://ig.ft.com/coronavirus-vaccine-tracker/).
