The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 500 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Friday, 29 January 2021. Eight were positive.
The individuals are travellers who tested positive following routine screening. One currently has symptoms of COVID-19 and the other seven are asymptomatic. They will remain in isolation until considered recovered.
The number of people in isolation, either at a government facility or in their homes, as required by the Medical Officer of Health, is 691.
The total number of COVID-19 vaccines administered to date is 9,143, of which 1,545 represent an individual’s second dose. While some data is still to be collated, initial calculations indicate around 57% of those aged over 70 years and 46% of those aged over 60 years have received at least one vaccination dose.
