The Public Health Department reported 850 new positive PCR tests for COVID-19, over the two-day period of 17-18 January 2022.
The daily breakdown of these numbers was as follows 448 on Monday, 17 January, and 402 on Tuesday, 18 January.
Meanwhile 17 COVID-19 patients were hospitalised in the Cayman Islands on Thursday, 20 January. Two new in-patients were included in this number.
Seven new cases of COVID were reported in the Sister Islands on 17 January and a further seven on 18 January.
