The Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association (CIMPA)’s annual marketing conference and awards ceremony will be held at the Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa on Friday 2nd October.
This year’s full day conference and evening awards gala will bring together Cayman’s marketing community for in-person networking and will feature virtual presentations from a host of internationally recognised speakers. The theme is “Think Challenger” and will focus on igniting brands, building cultures and thriving.
Made up of virtual speaker sessions, a fireside chat, networking opportunities, and interactive experiences, the growing annual conference is the flagship event on the marketing community calendar.
The conference portion of this year’s event is designed to provide local marketers with the tools they need to not only survive but thrive in the current environment. The speaker line-up has been carefully curated to provide local marketers with the best insights and ideas from experts and innovators across a broad spectrum of industries, from corporate marketing and agency insights to entrepreneurship and social media. Speakers include Chad Dick of eatbigfish, the agency that founded challenger thinking, Jaqueleen Larson of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and home-grown talent Selita Ebanks who will be speaking about her new wellness platform, The GOOD LOOK.
“2020 has certainly brought some very unique challenges for everyone. This year’s conference will highlight some great examples from challenger brands that have truly stood out from the crowd.” Julian Foster, CIMPA Chair, said.
The awards celebration evening, postponed from earlier this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, is also a testament to the marketers and creative professionals leading the way in the local community.
Nominees will be awarded in the following categories:
• Brand of the Year
• Campaign of the Year
• Community Impact of the Year
• Video of the Year
• Rising Star
• Creative Professional of the Year
• Marketer of the Year
• Agency of the Year
Among the shortlist this year are campaigns and creative work from some of Cayman’s finest brands, boutique agencies and creatives.
