Bernadette Carey, partner at the Cayman offices of leading offshore law firm Carey Olsen, will be a judge at the prestigious Citywealth Powerwomen Awards USA 2025, taking place 13th March 2025 in New York City. She will be joining a panel of ten judges, each drawn from the cream of the wealth management industry. Bernadette herself won a gold Powerwomen Award USA in 2024, in the Woman of the Year – Caribbean category.
The awards - highlighting individuals and companies that promote female leadership and support career progression of women within the sector - were originally created fourteen years ago in London by Karen Jones, multi-award winning CEO and founder of Citywealth. They were created in partnership with academics from the London School of Economics after many years of research.
During the 14 years of its existence the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards in Europe have helped over 2,000 women raise their profile and status in financial services, leading to more high profile clients as well as promotions and pay rises at work.
The awards were then extended to the USA in 2022, so as to include women in North America and the Caribbean as well, and to recognise their outstanding achievements.
Submissions are now open and close 6th September. The judges will then meet over lunch in New York City on 17th September to discuss the entries and draw up the shortlist after careful consideration. Their shortlist will be published 9th October when online voting opens to allow the global private wealth industry to have their say. This is verified by an independent third party and counts for 10% of the total votes.
The final results will be announced at the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards USA 2025 taking place
13th March 2025 in New York City.
