Cayman Art Week prepares for its fifth year with an Open Call for venues and programme partners.
Each year, the popular week-long celebration of art and artists draws hundreds of art lovers and collectors to events across all three Cayman Islands. From pop-up exhibitions and open studios to presentations by established galleries, Cayman Art Week represents the full width and breadth of Cayman’s creative art scene.
Launched in 2021 to celebrate local artists and art venues and to build a support the burgeoning sector, Cayman Art Week is designed to stimulate the commercial art market and introduce new audiences and potential buyers directly to gallery owners and creatives. With all events free to attend, visitors can join art tours, explore open studios, talk to the artists and learn from art experts.
This year Cayman “There’s an incredible energy around Cayman Art Week as artists and venues come up with ever more creative collaborations and presentations,” says Natalie Urquhart, founder and creative director of Cayman Art Week. “We are excited to see the industry taken ownership of the Cayman Art Week in this way. While Cayman Art Week provides a platform, the creative community are the stars of the show and have the most to gain from a successful art week. By continue to support the growth of the art market, our hope is that more creatives can sustain a career in the arts.”
The lineup for CAW25 events and activities will be announced on Cayman Art Week social media channels in the coming weeks.
