In another major destination promotion, the Cayman Islands is getting top billing in a new American outdoors TV series.
The territory is featured in “Let’s Take it Outside”, a new adventures program highlighting and celebrating women in outdoor activities.
The show which will be syndicated on Fox Sports is hosted by the first-ever female host of an outdoors show.
Misty Wells, a Clearwater native, born & raised in Pinellas County is breaking what is considered the “outdoor camo ceiling”.
Females in the Outdoors is a 16-billion-dollar industry.
“It’s about time the Outdoors Industry starts to recognize how important Women are to it,” says Misty.
She credits Fox Sports and their vision for what she calls “Women’s Turn to be showcased in the outdoors”.
The Cayman Islands episodes feature Misty participating in Pirate Week - jumping aboard a boat with her Pirate Crew, Bloody Bay Buccaneers, invading George Town and going with the flow in the Parade.
Offshore fishing with Capt. Steven of Reel Vibes Charters catching wahoo and tuna, snorkelling for conch with Josh Banks - Cayman Islands Angling Club, visiting the Crystal Caves and Stingray City, and reef fishing for grouper and snapper.
She is also promoting the Cayman Islands International Fishing Tournament starting April 30th – May 3rd, 2020.
Misty will be coming back to film and fish in the tournament and is s hoping to take home more than footage. She’ll actually be fishing for a trophy.

“Let’s Take it Outside” video series and now TV series features both of her children in various episodes.
Misty is a single mother whose two children are charting their own course in maritime ventures; son Brennen age 21 in the Coast Guard and 18-year-old daughter Hudson is in the navy.
Misty has become popular in the outdoors with her can-do spirit and willingness to try new things, showing you don’t have to be an expert to get outside and try.
