Caymanian artist, John Reno Jackson heads to Portugal
PADA Studios: Barreiro, Portugal
Caymanian artist, John Reno Jackson, is heading to Portugal for an intensive one-month residency program. The artist has been selected out of numerous applicants for a prime spot at PADA Studios. He will be there from February 1st - 29th.
The program is run by Tim Ralston and Diana Cerezino. Ralston has worked with institutions and galleries such as the BFI, ICA, Tate, and Hauser and Wirth and artists such as Damien Hirst, Raqib Shaw and Julian Opie, amongst others. Cerezino has extensive experience in the arts, having worked in various galleries and projects for the last 10 years.
Jackson is hoping to use this experience to develop his techniques and gain further insight into the craft by working with such experienced artists.
After the residency program concludes, Jackson will be having a showcase of the work made in London. The exhibition will run from March 4th - 18th.
Multiple artists will be at the residency program as well from all over the world.
This opportunity has been made possible by the support of the Ministry of Culture, NGCI, and the local community.
