As you know, sports media plays an integral role in the social and civic development of any society. The Cayman Islands Netball Association has significantly contributed to this aspect by positively shaping our community through the sport of netball.
It has been an honour to serve as president of the Cayman Islands Netball Association, witnessing the growth and success of our athletes and programs. However, every journey must lead to a new dawn. It is with great enthusiasm that I announce the election of Mrs. Faith Crooks as our new president. A seasoned professional in the realm of sports, Mrs. Crooks is no stranger to success and brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to this role.
Since August, the transition process has been underway, with Mrs. Crooks and her board working diligently to ensure a smooth handover. While her leadership will bring fresh perspectives, it is essential to acknowledge the solid foundation established during my tenure. Mrs. Crooks is committed to preserving the integrity of netball while enhancing our association’s achievements.
Under her leadership, Mrs. Crooks aims to elevate netball throughout the Cayman Islands, focusing on skill development and promoting the sport among our talented youth. Her vision includes building on the strengths that have made netball a cornerstone of Cayman sports, ensuring its continued success and relevance.
This letter serves as an appeal to the media and the public to extend your support, generosity, and kindness to Mrs. Faith Crooks as she embarks on this important journey. Together, we can build a stronger foundation for our community—one that fosters the development of individuals who will contribute positively to the future of our nation.
I am genuinely delighted to introduce you to our new netball president. I kindly ask for the same fairness, respect, and collaboration that you offered me over the years.
Thank you for your attention and support.
Yours in Sport
Lucille Seymour, MBE,BEM,JP
