In preparation for the anticipated arrival of Tropical Storm Rafael, officers and reservists from the Cayman Islands Regiment were deployed to the Sister Islands, including Cayman Brac, to assist with critical preparations and emergency response operations.

Photos from the deployment show Cayman Islands Regiment personnel traveling to Cayman Brac, where they immediately began setting up shelter facilities to provide a safe refuge for residents and visitors. Their proactive measures enhanced the community’s preparedness and strengthened overall storm response efforts.

“Ensuring the safety and preparedness of our Sister Islands is a top priority, and the Cayman Islands Regiment is committed to providing the necessary support during this time,” said Lieutenant Colonel Roger Carter, Cayman Islands Regiment. “Our officers and reservists are trained to respond effectively and will work closely with local officials to assist with storm response activities.”

As Tropical Storm Rafael approached, the Cayman Islands Regiment encouraged all residents to stay informed through official channels and take necessary precautions to ensure personal safety.
