Dallas Neatham, Glenn Abell, Michael McBain and Ross Fortune from CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank claimed the top prize in this year’s Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic which took place at the North Sound Golf Club in late November. The annual fundraising tournament attracted 108 golfers who helped to raise money for the Chamber and various charities.

Dart Real Estate signed on as platinum sponsor for the tournament at a time when many businesses are facing the economic challenges resulting from the global pandemic.

“This annual golf tournament is an important fundraiser for the Chamber and helps to offset the costs associated with the various member and community programmes that we hold,” said Chamber CEO Wil Pineau at the awards ceremony at the conclusion of the tournament. “This year’s event was sold out in record time. I am grateful to Dart Real Estate for signing on for the first time as the platinum sponsor which clearly demonstrates their support for the Chamber and the programmes and services that we offer to our members and the wider community.”

Pineau also acknowledged and thanked Broadhurst LLC, Doctors Hospital, Knighthead Annuity & Life Assurance Company, Liftech Ltd., Maples, CEL Distributors, Maples FS, Baker Tilly (Cayman) Ltd., Walkers, Animal House, Saxon Insurance, CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank, R&H Restructuring, Collas Crill, Davenport Development Ltd, Caribbean MGT, GT Automotive, Island Jewellers, CG BritCay, Cayman Cigar Company, Red Sail Sports, Health City Cayman Islands, The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa, Cost-U-Less, North Sound Golf Club, Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, Rocky’s Diamonds, Anytime Fitness, Smoothie King, A.L. Thompson's, Subway, Agave, Tortuga, Cayman Spirits Co and the Cayman Islands Brewery for supporting the event as a sponsor or by providing prizes for the tournament.

“I would also like to thank the Chamber staff who worked so hard in organising such a well-attended event which was postponed due to bad weather at the first attempt,” Pineau said. “Everyone had a brilliant day of golf and a lot of fun. We are already planning another great event for November 2021.”

The Home Gas’ team of Kim Corallo, Marcos Montana, Shane Delaney and Jason Lucraft finished in second place followed by Alan Silverman, Connan Hill, Gilles Laplante and Graham Robinson from the Broadhurst team. Jenny Bodden won the Ladies Long Drive on Hole #7 and Graham Robinson the Men's Long Drive on Hole #2. Mike McBain won the closest to the pin on Hole #5.
