On Thursday morning just after 0900HRS the CICG responded to a report of a migrant vessel to the North of the Island with a person onboard in need of medical assistance.
With the assistance of the RCIPS helicopter the vessel was located and persons in need of assistance were transported to shore and handed over to CBC and EMT’ personnel.
CG Vessels then returned to the migrant vessel and transported the remaining migrants to shore where they were handed over to CBC officers.
