CIFA announces draws for 2024/25 Men’s and Women’s President’s Cup

The Cayman Islands Football Association (CIFA) has announced the official draws for the 2024/25 Men’s and Women’s President’s Cup tournaments.

These competitions will once again bring together the top teams in Cayman football.

The Preliminary Round for the men’s competition begins on Wednesday, 15 Jan. 2025 while the women’s Preliminary Round kicks off on Sunday, 19 Jan.

“The President’s Cup showcases the very best of domestic football in the Cayman Islands,” CIFA President Alfredo Whittaker said. “It highlights the incredible talent we have in our community and provides an opportunity to celebrate the spirit of the game.”

Defending men’s champions Elite SC drew East End UFC in the first match of the competition, a Preliminary Round matchup that will be followed by Tigers SC and Scholars ISC. In the Quarter Finals, Academy has drawn Bodden Town while 345 FC will face Future SC. Sunset’s men will face the winner of the East End and Elite match in the Preliminary Round.

The men’s final will be played Wednesday, 5 March.

On the women’s side, defending champion Sunset drew Elite in the Preliminary Round while Academy and Scholars will meet in the other Preliminary Round match. In the Semi Finals, Latinos will host the winner of the Sunset/Elite match while Fusion SC will host either Academy or Scholars. The women’s final is also slated for 5 March.
