The Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA) is proud to announce the hiring of attorney and seasoned financial services professional Nadine Ritter as its new Director of Regulatory Affairs and Operations.
Ritter, who boasts more than 28 years across the legal, banking and corporate services industries, is responsible for CIIPA’s operational oversight while also advising on developing policy for issues affecting the accounting profession and adherence to local and international regulatory obligations.
“Nadine brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will allow CIIPA to continue its important work as the assurance and anti-money laundering supervisor for the accounting profession in the Cayman Islands,” CIIPA Chief Executive Officer Sheree Ebanks said. “CIIPA has played a key role in helping to develop and implement policies that allow the jurisdiction to meet regulatory requirements. We know Nadine will carry the torch in that respect.”
As part of its work as Cayman’s AML supervisor for the accounting profession, CIIPA engages firms for monitoring, issues guidance and responds to consultations conducted by other AML supervisory and public sector bodies like the Cayman Islands Anti-Money Laundering Unit and the Ministry of Financial Services and Commerce.
“I am very excited to join the CIIPA team,” Ritter said. “The accounting profession plays such a vital role in the Cayman Islands, serving as a major contributor to Cayman’s financial services sector. I look forward to continuing the tradition of CIIPA facilitating trust and confidence in the Cayman Islands and the accounting profession through knowledge, resources, advocacy and regulation.”
