As cruise ships return to Cayman, we must be vigilant to protect our island. Ships should be limited in number to protect the reefs and marine ecosystems. During the hiatus, marine life that has not been seen here in decades has returned. If we allow too many ships to return, that marine life will once again disappear. Too many passengers also clogs our streets and roadways, making life difficult and traffic horrendous. In the past, as many as 9 cruise ships have been here on one day. Let's limit that to only 3 ships a day, to protect our island and our way of life. We don't need to be overrun to return to a viable economic future.
