Cuba using homeopathy for virus recovery

Cuba will shortly begin mass distributing a new medication which it has developed in a homeopathic way to help recovery from coronavirus.

PREVENGOVIR, a homeopathic immunological booster, is being distributed to citizens to help prevent viral infections like Covid-19 and other common flus, Dr Francisco Duran, Director of Epidemiology, announced.

Duran explained PREVENGOVIR was first applied to risk groups in isolation centres, elderly and mother-infant homes, and hospitals caring for positive and suspected Covid-19 patients.

Homeopathy is a system of alternative medicine created in 1796 by Samuel Hahnemann based on his doctrine of 'the similar cures the similar'. It has been developed in Cuba in the past 30 years with the help of China, Vietnam and India. There are pharmacies solely dedicated to homeopathic and natural medicines.

Initial stats show that the booster is helping Covid-19 sufferers to recover quicker, Duran said.
