After completing a recent mobility assignment with the Canadian practice, Deloitte welcomes back Lise Corbin to the Cayman Islands Risk Advisory practice.
Many would know and recognize Lise as a leader in Deloitte’s Regulatory and Operational Risk practices, where she supported a number of Cayman and Caribbean-based clients over the course of her fifteen years with the Cayman Islands firm.
Deloitte’s Risk Advisory Partner for the Caribbean and Bermuda Countries, Taron Jackman, noted “Continuous development of our people at all levels is a key focus of our firm. Supporting a leader such as Lise to gain international experience exposes her to new capabilities, an enhanced global mindset, and innovative ways to support our business and our clients. We are thrilled to have Lise back in Cayman, and look forward to seeing her apply all that she has experienced and learned from her time in Toronto.”
As a seasoned risk leader, Lise will be responsible for driving Deloitte’s Regulatory Risk offering in Cayman by supporting clients with the full life-cycle of related initiatives, including: the development of strategies, structures and processes to anticipate and adapt to changes in regulatory environments; design, assess, and transform the process, controls, and infrastructure needed to address the wide variety of specific regulations and regulatory risks; and respond to specific breakdowns in regulatory compliance programs. Key areas Lise will focus on include supporting clients with their Anti-Money Laundering and Data Protection programs.
Lise is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E), and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). She also holds the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designations.
Lise is also a strong advocate for diversity and creating a more inclusive workplace, and is a champion for the advancement and development of women leaders. Lise is a founding member of Cayman’s 100 Women in Finance and was co-chair from 2017 – 2018. Lise will continue to focus on promoting female leaders by helping drive and support Deloitte’s ALL IN strategy, which aims to increase the representation of women in leadership and promote a more inclusive culture for all under-represented minorities.
