CNO Felicia McLean has over two decades experience in nursing having qualified as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Cayman Islands Hospital in 1995. She continued her career at the Cayman Islands Hospital until commencing her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at Barry University in Miami, where she graduated in 2003.
Up until recently, Felicia was the Director of Operations and Nursing at Jasmine; she finished there last week to take up a new position with Cayman Islands Government Ministry of Health. Felicia began her career at Jasmine in 2005 and has worked her way up from a trainee Palliative Nurse, to Clinical Manager, and now Director. Felica is passionate about improving the quality of life for everyone affected by both chronic and terminal illness in the Cayman Islands.
In 2015, Felicia earned the National Hero’s Day Emerging Pioneer Award in Health Services and in 2019 was awarded a Certificate and Badge of Honor for her work with palliative care in the Cayman Islands by the Prince of Wales.
Felicia currently serves on the Nursing and Midwifery Council Board and served as Vice President of the Cayman Islands Nursing Association between 2004 and 2007. Felicia has recently been appointed the (CNO) Chief Nursing Officer, for the Cayman Islands, where she will be responsible for providing guidance on professional nursing matters to the Minister for Health & Wellness, the Chief Officer, the Chief Medical Officer, and other Government entities. She officially started in her new role as CNO just this week with Ministry of Health.
A highly active member of the First Baptist Church, Felicia has served as a youth leader for over 10 years. Married to Kyle Mclean and the proud mother of four beautiful children, Felicia strongly believes public service is crucial to the future continued success of the Cayman Islands.
Felicia enjoys sports and being physically active. She played netball in high school and she ran track. Also, notably she represented the Cayman Islands in Track and Field as a sprinter, where she competed in 1992 CARIFTA Games held in the Bahamas. She also participates in adult’s recreational baseball leagues whenever she can. CNO Felicia McLean, encourages all to and embodies #InspireInclusion!

Dr. Ulett graduated from St. Matthew’s School of Medicine in 2008. She began working at the Health Services Authority in 2014. At that time her employment commenced in the Accident and Emergency department for a period of (2) years. Then her career continued in the Cardiology department, a position she has held for the past seven (7) years. During this most recent role, Dr. Ulett completed a postgraduate study at the University of West Indies (U. W. I.) Doctor of Medicine in Family Medicine 2022.
At present, she is completing further study at University of South Wales in Preventative Cardiology. She loves traveling with her family and being an avid football Mom. Juggling both worlds: a busy family life and many clinical patient commitments, has allowed Dr. Ulett - Ivey to have the knack to multi-task very well. Back in high school, she was a competent swimmer and enjoyed the routine of the training.
As a patient advocate, Dr, Ulett remains committed to giving the patient, and their family, the best medical advice to improve their health. Dr. Ulett embodies #InspireInclusion!
Number 25. In the Series is: Department of Sports IWD Wellness Presenter Psychologist Shivonne Nixon, BA, MSc, LGPC
Shivonne Nixon is a: Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in the USA. Licensed in Jamaica with The Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine (CPSM). Registered Psychologist with the Cayman Islands Council for Professions Allied with Medicine (CPAM).
She Studied at Acadia University and Loyola University Maryland and is an Associate Psychologist at The Wellness Centre: there she provides therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults with various mental health challenges, Areas of interest are anxiety, depression, and trauma. She is also an EMDR trained practitioner
Extracurricular activities: She enjoyed playing sports growing up. PE was a preferred class, expect for when it came to the fitness test, known as the bleep test. Played netball competitively during her high school years.
Swimming was a fun extracurricular activity. Now, she is embracing her creative side by composing songs (when inspired) and playing the piano. Enjoys making others laugh whenever possible.
