Shortly after 1:00AM on Sunday, 23 May, officers responded to a serious two-vehicle collision on South Church Street, in the vicinity of Palm Springs, involving a Changan CS75 and a Honda Fit. The five occupants of the vehicles were injured in the collision. Emergency services attended the scene and all five persons were transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital.
The driver of the Honda Fit, was subsequently pronounced dead. The driver of the Changan, a man age 25 of George Town, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
