Just before 8PM on Saturday night 16 October, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a report of a two-vehicle collision on South Church Street in George Town. One vehicle had two occupants while the other had three. Emergency personnel were still on scene and South Church Street in the vicinity of Parsons Circle was closed as officers carried out on scene investigation.
The Cayman Islands Fire Service officers who attended the scene extricated the occupants of the vehicles and all parties involved have been transported to the hospital by ambulance. So far one man involved in the collision has been pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
This collision is being investigated by the police and South Church Street . Vehicular traffic heading north on South Church Street was diverted through Memorial Avenue and those heading south .
