A 43-year-old-man of George Town has been charged with Burglary, Theft, Damage to Property and Breach of Curfew following his arrest on Friday 22 May. The man was arrested in relation to a burglary incident that took place at a bar located on Mary Street, George Town on Sunday 17 May.
The 43-year-old George Town man was subsequently arrested in relation to a second burglary that took place at a restaurant on Eastern Avenue on Thursday 21 May. He was also formally charged with Burglary and Breach of Curfew following an investigation into this incident.
The man appeared in court and answer to charges relating to both incidents on Monday 25 May via video link. He was remanded in custody and is schedule to reappear on 9 June.
