The Department of Education Services (DES) advises parents and guardians that the Government School Registration Portal is now open for applications for the 2025/2026 academic year.

“We look forward to welcoming a new group of learners for the upcoming academic year,” says DES Director, Mr. Mark Ray. “Registration opens on 1 March, giving families ample time to complete the application process and prepare for the new school year starting in August.”

Mr. Ray emphasises the importance of submitting applications during the Standard Registration Period, which runs from 1 March to 30 June 2025.

“Applying early is crucial to securing your child’s place in a school within your designated catchment area,” he explains. “Enrolment is processed on a first-come, first-served basis, based on space availability, and following the established priority list.”
