No matter how you might have tried, you would have put on some pounds during the holidays. Don’t be frustrated for I am sharing a versatile drink to assist your weight loss. LEMON WATER.
Lemons were first used in India. Thanks to Columbus it was in America by 1493.
The ancient Egyptians used it for embalming, the Greeks for water purification and food preservation, the Romans to ward off moths and Dr. James Lind, a Scottish Physician discovered that it helped seamen against scurvy.
Lemons are low calorie, not naturally sweet, has cancer fighting benefits, good for your heart, and has ingredients known to help with weight loss.
So, how does this work and aids in weight loss. The key is to drink it FIRST THING IN THE MORNING ON AN EMPTY STOMACH. When you do you will feel full right away and therefore eliminate the desire to make unhealthy snacking during the day. More importantly it will flush toxins out of your body, improve your digestion, adds moisturising ingredients to your skin, and it will boost your metabolism so that your body has everything it needs to look and feel your best.
Here’s your how to:
Mix 400 ml of water with the juice of two, freshly squeezed lemons. If you wish you can add a teaspoon of honey or more preferably some stevia. Remember, the aim is to keep calorie content low. You can make the water warm to add the potency and results up a notch.
Keep in mind lemon water is a hack- so you will still need to exercise daily and ensure that you are eating healthy, otherwise you will become frustrated and not see the results you expect. Have a Happy and Healthy New Year and may God’s blessings be upon all of you. Until next time, this has been another HEALTHY MOMENT from Shakier.
