Harneys appoints new head of Cayman Islands Litigation

Harneys is pleased to announce that Partner Andrew Johnstone has been appointed Head of the Litigation, Insolvency, and Restructuring practice in the firm’s Cayman Islands office. Andrew has been with Harneys in Hong Kong for over 4 years where he has built a leading reputation as an offshore litigator. Andrew relocated to Cayman in early September, to join and lead the Cayman disputes team.

Andrew specialises in fraud and asset tracing, asset preservation and enforcement, shareholder disputes, contentious trusts and insolvency. He has advanced specialist expertise in cross-border and multi-jurisdictional litigation, including obtaining recognition orders, and all forms of interim relief including disclosure orders, freezing injunctions, anti-suit injunctions and search orders. He is a highly experienced advocate and trial lawyer with a reputation for providing user-friendly and practical advice to listed companies, corporates, hedge funds, professional advisers and high net worth individuals.
