Team Nolan, the Pediatric Program of the Cayman Heart Fund, is hosting their third Annual Heart Warriors and Angels Beach Walk during February 2021 Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) Awareness Week. This is the third annual Beach Walk in memory of Sean and Ailian Evans’ son, Nolan, who passed away on 25 January 2018 from a complex CHD.
The event takes place on Sunday 7 February at 7:00 am at Public Beach. Registration is CI$25 and includes an event t-shirt (while supplies last.) This family and pet friendly event aims to raise awareness for the #1 birth defect, CHD. Kids are encouraged to dress in warrior or angels costumes. Complementary refreshments including coffee will be available as well as face painting, raffle prizes, and much more.
Ailian Evans, CHF Board member and founder of Team Nolan, expressed her gratitude for His Excellency Governor Martyn Roper’s continued support of their initiatives “It is an honor having him participate in our third annual beach walk and we thank him and all our loyal supporters for their continued support over the years” said Ms.Evans, “There is no cure for CHD’s, but treatment can be as simple as prescribed medication, to surgery and heart transplants. Our mission is to raise awareness about CHD in the community and financially assist local families with CHD babies.”
This year’s beach walk is sponsored by Davenport Development, Doctors Hospital, Health City, Walkers, Fosters, Vistra, Baraud Development, and Logic just to name a few.
