Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman: The 282-room Hotel Indigo® Grand Cayman is scheduled to open in Q2 2024.
Slated to be completed in Q2 2024, the property was recognised for exceptional architecture and construction and design
Hotel Indigo® Grand Cayman, which is scheduled to be opened in the second quarter of next year, was honoured in two categories at the 2023-2024 Americas Property Awards, held in Toronto, Canada on 22 September.
The property, being developed by Dart, took home awards for Hotel Architecture for the Cayman Islands and New Hotel Construction & Design for the Cayman Islands. The Americas Property Awards, a division of the International Property Awards, celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry.
“We’re pleased to see the vision for Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman come to life through the work of our design and construction teams,” said Dart Executive Vice President, Development, Gary Gibbs. “Ensuring the highest levels of sustainability is something we have embraced across our portfolio. To get the recognition of these international awards for the architectural work along with the construction and design at this site is further validation of the great work done by our teams, design consultants and contractors.”
The largest and most prestigious programme of its kind, the Awards are judged by an independent panel of over 80 industry experts. Judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability. The judging panel is chaired by Lord Best and Lord Waverley, members of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament. The Awards are in their 30th year and cover over 50 different residential and commercial categories.
A unique boutique hotel combining local experiences, modern design and intimate service, Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman is slated to welcome its first guests in spring 2024. The property will offer 282 guest rooms with views across the Caribbean Sea, an expansive pool deck, multiple restaurants, a rooftop bar and a 6,700 square-foot ballroom with large pre-function space. Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman’s design is inspired by the pulse and rhythm of the islands, with nods to classic maritime history with all the luxurious trappings.
“We’re excited about this new offering that caters to an underserved segment of the market. These awards validate that what we are developing will truly be a welcoming oasis for visitors to the Cayman Islands,” said Steven Andre, Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman, General Manager who has been working closely with both Dart and IHG to get Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman opened on schedule.
These recent awards follow on other International Property Awards received by Dart earlier this year for its latest Camana Bay developments: 60 Nexus Way (Best Office Development, The Americas and Best Office Development, Cayman Islands: 5-Star Award) and Kapok (Architecture Multiple Residence, Cayman Islands and Landscape Architecture, Cayman Islands).
