Island Heritage Insurance Company, Ltd. (“Island Heritage” or “the Company”) today announced that it has awarded its 2020 Educational Grant to Justine Rhule. Justine has been accepted at the University of Warwick to study Law. After completing her degree she plans to return to the Cayman Islands to give back to the community and make a contribution to the ever-growing legal industry.
Despite the COVID-19 global pandemic, Island Heritage Insurance received a large number of impressive applications from local candidates. Justine was selected based on her academic performance, leadership skills and community service. Island Heritage’s Human Resources Vice President and Educational Grant Committee member, Dawn McLean-Brady stated: “Justine impressed the entire committee with an outstanding presentation, her strong work ethic and determination and we are delighted to present her with the 2020 Educational Grant.”
Established 4 years ago in celebration of Island Heritage’s 20th anniversary, the Educational Grant offers a Caymanian student a US$5,000 award to help fund college or university studies. Criteria for selection include academic excellence, demonstrated leadership experience, and community engagement and service. The recipient is selected by a committee of Island Heritage staff.
