If you’re a music lover looking for something to do around Grand Cayman on a Tuesday night; the type who likes to take karaoke to another level or play an instrument and sing, to get your name out there, look no further than Jam Night at the Bird on the West Bay Road.
The evening is hosted by popular bass guitarist Derrick McKay and friends and gives patrons more than just and evening of easy listening.
For those who are musically inclined it’s been a great place to network and jam and the food is on par with the best cuisine on the Islands.
I strongly recommend the wings!
As Cayman prepares to welcome visitors again and the embers from 2019 continue to cool, this is the perfect place to rekindle that fire of togetherness that has been emerging on the music scene since B.C. (before Covid).
Hot guitar licks and cold beer make this evening one to make sure to put on your list of things to do on the Island
“We have been hosting this night for a bit now and we love the camaraderie of the musicians and the networking aspect of it,” noted one visiting musician.
He added that he was surprised to see so much great talent on an Island as small as Grand Cayman and that he would be visiting more of the musical offerings on Island as a result of what he had witnessed in his time at the open mic/ jam night at the Bird.
Jam Night at the Bird runs from 9.30pm to 12.30am and features Miller Lite and ‘Jack’ specials.
