During this pandemic John Gray High School’s Key Club has remained active while following the necessary protocols to ensure safety for all. We have shown that Caring really is our way of life!
At the beginning of the lockdown Key clubbers responded to those in need by donating food items and providing bags of groceries to four elderly persons along with cash donations. They also created ‘Thank you’ cards for front line or essential workers. In celebration of Mother’s Day two gift baskets were presented to the oldest mothers at John Gray High School and Mother’s Day cards were also made and distributed on line.
As part of the Generation Green project key clubbers were encouraged to clean up areas in their communities.
To demonstrate the Governors Project “KEYS for Kids”, students garnered snack items, through purchase and donations from both parents and students. Special mention must be made of President Carson and LTG Chloe who selflessly donated from their funds to attend District Convention in Orlando to assist with the project. Key clubbers packed snack bags while still attending online school. The snack bags were distributed by members of John Gray Senior staff during their weekly visits to students in need.
For Father’s Day key clubbers made special cards, using chocolates, for male mentors. These were well received by the gentlemen.
JGHS Key Club also participated in the divisional project, a partnership with Kiwanis, where they made Activity Packs for children to keep them engaged during the Summer.

Proud of you guys. Your effort is commendable. Keep John Grey flag flying high while you demonstrate that education is more than sitting around a desk.
