Lands & Survey Reduce Hours for Public Facing Services and Encourages Customers to Call or Email

The Lands and Survey Department has implemented proactive steps for business transactions to protect employees, customers and the broader community from possible transmission of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

The following measures and procedures will go into effect as of Monday, 16 March 2020:

1. All public counter services will offer reduced hours and will be open from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm daily.

2. The duration and proximity of physical interactions with customers will be reduced by limiting physical meetings.

3. Working hours for staff have been reduced to avoid congregation of staff and to provide for wider physical spacing for work stations.

4. All non-critical services have been deferred with a focus on essential business operations.

5. Customers are also asked to adhere to the following when conducting business:

a. Call 345 244 3420 or email landsurv.info@gov.ky if you have questions or queries that do not require physical interaction.

b. When coughing or sneezing do so in a tissue. The tissue should then be immediately disposed in a bin.

c. If you do visit Lands and Survey offices, practice social distancing, that means you should maintain a distance of 3 feet between you and the next customer or person in line.

d. Engage via video-conferencing or teleconference to limit physical meetings.

e. Continue to abide by the guidelines from the local and international health authorities, by washing your hands with soap consistently throughout the day, or where washing your hands is not possible to use an alcohol-based sanitizer, and avoid touching your face, particularly your eyes, nose and mouth.
