On Tuesday, 21 December, Customs and Border Control Officers at Owen Roberts International Airport alerted Royal Cayman Islands Police Service officers to a man travelling from Cuba, who had been refused entry after supplying a suspected false travel certificate.
The man, age 71, was arrested on suspicion of presenting a false document to immigration authorities, and taken into custody where he remains as investigations continue.
The matter is currently under investigation by the RCIPS and Customs and Border Control authorities.
