Miss World Cayman pageant postponed in honor of Her late Majesty The Queen
The Miss World Cayman Islands Organization regrets to announce that the fourth edition of the Miss World Cayman pageant which is scheduled to be held on Saturday, September 17th, 2022 has been postponed due to the passing of the United Kingdom’s longest-serving monarch, Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away peacefully at Balmoral on the afternoon of September 8th. She was 96.
The Cayman Islands has joined the UK and other Overseas Territories in 11 days of National Mourning until 8am on the day after the State Funeral. With this in mind and as a mark of respect for Her late Majesty The Queen, the pageant has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 24th 2022 at Harquail Theatre, starting at 7pm (cocktails at 6pm).
