Nominations are open for National Heroes Day (NHD) 2025: Celebrating the Icons of Business and Entrepreneurship: A Tribute to Caymanian Business Ingenuity, Creativity, Successes, Hard Work, Innovation, and Leadership. This year’s theme highlights the remarkable achievements and contributions of Caymanians who have shaped the nation’s business landscape through their innovation, dedication, and leadership.
Public Nominations Open November 12th
The National Heroes Day Committee invites the public to participate in the nomination process for this prestigious honour. Until 30 November 2024, residents of the Cayman Islands are encouraged to submit nominations of individuals under the categories of Legacy Builders (Early Pioneers) or Modern Visionaries (Pioneers). There is also a special category for Innovators of Impact.
How to Submit a Nomination
Online nominations will be accepted on the official National Heroes Day website on gov.ky and must be submitted before the deadline of 30 November 2024. All eligible submissions will be reviewed by a selection panel composed of community leaders and experts from various business sectors. Nominations must be accompanied by required documents which are outlined on the site.
The selected honourees will be recognised at the National Heroes Day 2025 ceremony.
