As Hurricane Beryl approaches, the Needs Assessment Unit (NAU) is providing the following update:
Additional Financial Assistance
All current NAU clients who currently receive food assistance as well as recipients of Long-Term Financial Assistance (LTFA) and the Seafarer’s and Veterans Ex-Gratia Benefit will receive an
additional $400 payment. This assistance is being provided to ensure clients are not left short of essential funds after preparing for hurricane Beryl. The payment will be distributed as quickly as
possible and in the same manner clients currently receive their payment.
Please Note:
o Clients do not need to contact NAU as this payment will be made automatically
too eligible clients.
o Non-Caymanians are not eligible for services through the NAU.
o All recipients must meet existing eligibility criteria to receive additional financial
assistance.
o The NAU will process and verify eligibility through usual channels.
