Shortly after 4:00AM on Saturday morning, 21 October, officers responded to a report of an incident at an address off Hirst Road, Bodden Town. It was reported that a man had just returned to his residence when he was confronted outside by a man known to him. The victim fled inside the house and was subsequently struck by an unknown object, sustaining a laceration to the forehead. The culprit then appears to have fled the scene. The victim subsequently attended hospital for treatment for the injury, which appears to be non-life-threatening. He has since been discharged.
Officers attended the scene and observed damage to the door and a window of the residence. Initial examinations indicate that these were damaged by blunt force, and there is no evidence that a firearm was discharged. The matter remains under investigation.
