On Friday morning, 12 February, officers responded to a report of a burglary at a medical facility on Smith Road in the vicinity of Pines Drive. The burglary occurred sometime between 6:00PM on Thursday, 11 February and 7:00AM Friday. The culprits took a safe containing cash, along with cash from two cash tills, totaling over CI $3000.
Also on Friday morning, officers responded to a report of a burglary at a medical facility on Earth Close, off West Bay Road, which occurred sometime between 7:00PM on Thursday and 8:00AM Friday. The culprit took a quantity of cash from the facility totaling over CI $700.
Shortly after 1:15PM, following investigations conducted by officers, a man age 26 of George Town was arrested on suspicion of burglary in relation to the incident at Earth Close. A search was conducted of the man and his vehicle and a quantity of suspected ganja was recovered. He was further arrested on suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja. He was subsequently granted police bail with conditions.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
