Shortly before 3:30PM today, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a report of a single-vehicle collision that took place along Bodden Town Road between Bronte Way and Longfellow Circle in the area of Midland Acres.
The driver, a man, now deceased was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The Bodden Town Road in this area is currently blocked while accident investigators are on scene carrying out investigations.
A concrete pole was completely broken as a result of the collision and CUC personal are now undertaking significant repair work.
CUC traffic control officers are directing traffic at the scene. RCIPS advise motorists to proceed with caution if travelling in the area.
RCIPS expresses its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
