Just before 2AM this morning, Monday 28 December, an injured man walked into the George Town Police Station and reported that he was assaulted and robbed by multiple persons, when he was walking in the area of Shedden Road in George Town. He reported that his cell phone and wallet was taken, along with all its contents.
The man was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital and was treated for what is believed to have been non-life-threatening injuries. He was later released.
The matter is under police investigation and detectives would like to advice the public to exercise caution when traveling late at night and to avoid traveling alone if possible. Visit the RCIPS website for more tips on how to keep safe when riding or walking at night.
