At about 8:30AM, on Friday 26 January, officers were dispatched to a report that a man had been found unresponsive on a cruise ship, anchored off the George Town port.
Emergency services boarded the ship, and the man, age 45, was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital and subsequently pronounced deceased by the attending doctor.
The man was an employee of the cruise ship and a Philippine national.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the death are currently ongoing, but are not believed to be suspicious.
