Around 12:30AM, Sunday 25 August, police and other emergency services responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on Esterly Tibbets Highway, in the vicinity of the Kimpton, West Bay.
Three persons were injured in the collision and were transported to the hospital to receive treatment. The persons had serious but non-life threatening injuries. The roadway was temporarily closed while police conducted their investigations, and was reopened shortly before 3:00AM.
Investigations indicate that the first vehicle, a Honda Fit, was travelling along Esterly Tibbets, towards West Bay, when the second vehicle, also a Honda Fit, traveling in the opposite direction, crossed the median and collided with the first vehicle.
The driver of the second vehicle has subsequently been arrested on suspicion of DUI. Two of the three persons have since been released from hospital.
