The RCIPS and CICG wishes to advise that the search and recovery efforts to locate the missing male who jumped overboard on Tuesday 24 November, have been ongoing over the past seven (7) days with negative results. Due to the elapsed time, and weather conditions with no positive leads or sightings the CICG has made the strategic decision to conclude search and recovery efforts and unfortunately declare the missing male as presumed deceased as of 6:00 pm yesterday 1 December.
The Office of the Ombudsman continues to oversee the investigation into the missing person on board the craft.
The RCIPS continues to seek the assistance of the public to locate and identify this missing male who is described as being tall, dark-skinned with long dreadlocks, wearing shorts, and believed to be known as “Blacks” or “Paul”. Anyone with information about this person and incident is asked to contact the RCIPS Major Incident Room (MIR) at 649-2930.
