Rotary Sunset and ARK Join Forces to Transform Community Member’s Home
Rotary Sunset, in partnership with ARK, is proud to announce the successful completion of a heartening community project aimed at assisting a community member in need. ARK had already completed repairs to the property when Rotary Sunset stepped in to offer to breathe new life into the house by painting the exterior, showcasing the power of collaboration and compassion.
“Rotary Sunset and ARK share a common mission of making a positive impact in the lives of others,” said Director Susie Bodden from Rotary Sunset. “Through this collaborative effort, we have not only revitalized a home but also uplifted the spirits of a member of our community. This project exemplifies the strength that lies in unity and the profound difference we can make when we come together for a common cause.”
The painting project commenced on Saturday 20th April at 8am. The crew of about 18 in all consisted of volunteers from the Ritz, members of Boys2Men, Rotarians and friends. What had seemed like a big project at 8am, was a finished project by lunchtime, many hands making light work. The house was transformed, the yard was cleared of debris and the homeowner was very happy.
Rotary Sunset and ARK extend their sincere gratitude to all volunteers, donors, and supporters who contributed to the success of this project. Their collective efforts have not only beautified a home but also strengthened the bonds of camaraderie and compassion within the community. Special thanks to Jason Brown of IWC for providing the dumpster, Tommy Ebanks distributor of Sherwin Williams who provided the paint and our own Rotarian Dan Murphy of ALThompsons who donated the brushes and rollers etc.
